When we opened Kaldi's Coffeehouse in 1994, we wanted to offer our customers the best coffee and espresso possible. We sampled coffees from local roasters, but found the "gourmet" coffee they offered was just a variation on the canned and preground stuff they supplied to the masses. So, we bought our own roaster and started producing the best coffee we'd ever tasted - and lots of local cafes, restaurants and grocery stores agreed.
Over the last couple of decades, our interest and ability with coffee has taken us to many unique places, like the final round of the United States Barista Championship, the rolling mountain ranges of Costa Rica, and new retail markets, like Columbia, MO, Kansas City, MO, and Atlanta, GA. We strive to always lead and encourage the coffee culture in St. Louis and beyond by sharing our passion and knowledge with our customers and fellow coffee-lovers.
At Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Company, we hand-roast all our coffees and blends in small batches. Our philosophy is to let the brilliance and beauty of our well-sourced beans shine through in the cup. Our roasters strive only to source the natural flavors from the bean, and do it over and over again so that your cup of Kaldi’s Coffee excites your palette morning after morning. We're proud to say there really is a difference in our beans, and we’re happy to show you why.
